Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #508 - Monochrome

Each and every Saturday Kraftin' Kimmie stamps posts a brand new challenge for the week and everyone is welcome to enter as many times as you like! These must be new creations and you are welcome to use any stamp, however using Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and products will earn you double entries! This week your hostess is.....Brigitte! Her challenge for you is....to make a monochrome project!

 

For this challenge I chose to go with black.  I have made a water color background using black watercolor paint adding increasing amounts of water as I worked down the page. I then sprayed it with perfect pearls to give it a little shimmer. I added the trees and sentiment using the Krafin' Kimmie Wicked Black Hybrid Ink.  The trees are from the Solid Holiday stamp set and the sentiment if from the Christmas Blessings Sentiments set. The stars are painted on by hand with a white craft paint.  These simple cards were fun to make and still very effective.

I tried 3 different sizes of cards with varying levels of darkness for the background. Which one is your favorite?
