Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #509 - GLITTER!

This is my last week as guest design team member for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  What a challenge this month has been for me!  I have tried a lot of new things in hopes of coming up with the cards I wanted.  Some things worked, others did not but I learned a lot along the way.  I thank Kimmie for the opportunity to participate!

This week Krafty Girl Keri is your hostess and her challenge for you is...

use Glitter!

Each and every Saturday Kimmie posts a brand new challenge for the week and you are welcome to enter as many times as you like!  These must be new creations and you are welcome to use any stamp, however using Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and products will earn you double entries!  Each submission will enter you into the monthly draw of a $40 gift voucher to the krafty shop!

For the glitter challenge I chose the Merry & Bright Birdies with a sentiment from Holiday Wishes to make my card.  I started with a background of Stormy Sky Hybrid Ink with some Nuvo glimmer paste through the Sparkling Snowflakes Stencil. I added a strip of glittery black ribbon.  The sentiment is stamped with Wicked Black Hybrid Ink and embossed with a charcoal glittery embossing powder.  The cardinal was stamped with the Wicked Black Hybrid Ink and colored with copic markers.
I do not usually work with much glitter so this challenge helped me think outside my comfort zone.  It was a fun challenge to do!

Kimmie has also given us a SKETCH for inspiration if we need some extra mojo! Feel free to use it anytime!

November Skrappy Challenge - Anything but a card!

Today's Kraftin' Kimmie challenge is to make anything but a card!  I personally buy loads of stamps but don't always make loads of projects.  This challenge can be anything including bookmarks, gifts, scrapbook pages, journal art, planner pages, tags, boxes or anything your Kreativity can come up with - anything that includes a Krafty Stamp.

This challenge needs at least 5 people to play along then Kimmie will be giving away a $20 gift voucher to the Krafty shop!  The deadline for this challenge is January 6th at midnight EST so there is lots of time to play!  Just make sure you use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp and that you make a new creation!

I must say I am very excited to share this layout!  After sharing with the leader of my scrapbooking group that I had been invited to be a Kraftin' Kimmie Guest Designer for November, I was asked to instruct a card making class.  Last Thursday my friends and I gathered together to make a Christmas card using my Kimmie stamps, stencils and inks. Everyone's favorite stamp would have to be the Christmas Blessings stamp set as well as the Christmas Blessings Sentiments set.
I couldn't think of a better way to use my stamp from the new release - Lets get Krafty! than to make a scrapbook page of our group! I used the Wicked Black hybrid ink to stamp the image and a few Kraftin' Kimmie Dots from the Holiday Dots set.

Kimmie has asked us to share some news for this weekend! 
Black Friday is only a couple of days away and Kimmie has wonderful specials in store this weekend for us!  I can't wait to see what temptations there are!
To make it even better she is doing a shop the box party!  It will be Sunday, December 1st at 2pm EST!  I wonder what goodies she will have for us!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #508 - Monochrome

I, personally, am very excited for BLACK FRIDAY!

This week your hostess is.....Brigitte! Her challenge for you is....to make a monochrome project!

 

For this challenge I chose to go with black.  I have made a water color background using black watercolor paint adding increasing amounts of water as I worked down the page. I then sprayed it with perfect pearls to give it a little shimmer. I added the trees and sentiment using the Krafin' Kimmie Wicked Black Hybrid Ink.  The trees are from the Solid Holiday stamp set and the sentiment if from the Christmas Blessings Sentiments set. The stars are painted on by hand with a white craft paint.  These simple cards were fun to make and still very effective.

I tried 3 different sizes of cards with varying levels of darkness for the background. Which one is your favorite?

November Release Celebration Hop & Shop!

Today is finally the day all of the new goodies will be avaialable at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! They will be in the shop today at 3pm EST. Make sure you read all the way to the end for an extra bonus Kimmie has in store for everyone!

I am lucky enough to have been chosen as a guest designer this month. What a lot of fun it has been!

My cards today are using the new Yeti or Not! stamp set. These little yetis like to get up to all kinds of mischief playing in the snow. They are such a fun bunch of guys! I used Wicked Black ink to stamp the yeti images and Mossy Meadow ink to stamp the trees. I have also used the brand new Whimsical Wisteria ink for the sentiment on the purple card. I just love the little extras in the stamp set. The snowballs and clouds were a nice touch to finish off the cards.

This week we have looked at 3 new stamp sets. These are:

Neda Sadreddin's Krafty girl set called LET'S GET KRAFTY!

Neda Sadreddin was also the artist for YETI OR NOT!

And last but certainly not least, there was the set of roly poly snow peeps from Kimmie's newest artist Sabrina van Vloten called....JOLLY HAPPY SNOWMEN!

There are also 2 new stencils: KRAFTY SCENERY 2 and STAINED GLASS.

Also available is the new hybrid ink WHIMSICAL WISTERIA!

Lastly there is POLAR DOTS - the lastest set of enamel dots!

November Krafty Peeks..Day THREE! Jolly Happy Snowmen PLUS a Challenge!

It's Day THREE of November Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!

It is the FINAL day of peeks of the FINAL release of 2019! This fun new stamp set along with all of the wonderful new products we have already seen this week will be available in Kimmie's online shop tomorrow afternoon!
This last brand new and absolutely adorable stamp set is from Kimmie's newest artist Sabrina van Vloten called....

JOLLY HAPPY SNOWMEN!

Check out these sweet little chubby snowpeeps!! They are ready for some winter FUN! So many ways to mix and match them or use them on their own! There is a fabulous background and igloo to help you create winter scenes plus several sweet sentiments!

My little snowmen wanted to peek through windows to see what you might be up to!  These sweet little guys along with the sentiment were stamped with Krafin' Kimmie's hybrid ink Wicked Black and colored with copic markers. The edges were inked with the new Whimsical Wisteria ink and the new polar dots added to give the card a little more fun!  Don't these guys just make you want to play?!

Today is also Challenge Day and as always, during release week the theme is Anything Goes! So create a card, scrapbook page, altered item.....with a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp! Use any sketch, design, colour scheme you want!

November Krafty Peeks...Day TWO! Yet or Not!

Welcome back to Day TWO of the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps November Release Peeks!

Today we have another fun stamp set by artist Neda Sadreddin!

It's called....YETI OR NOT! These guys are so much fun!

Don't these guys just make you want to get out there and play in the snow?

This card started with a background stamped with the Snowflake Kisses stamp set released just last month! It was embossed with white embossing powder on a navy textured paper. The sentiment was stamped with the Kraftin' Kimmie Stormy Sky hybrid ink and of course our friendly Yeti was stamped with the Wicked Black ink and colored with copic markers.

November Krafty Peeks....Day ONE! Let's Get Krafty!

Welcome, Krafty Friends!

Today starts the FINAL release for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps for 2019!

It's Day ONE of our November Krafty Peeks! I am so excited to be one of this month's guest designers because I get to share SO many fun new things with you!

There are new stamp sets, stencils, ink and enamel dots!

The first image I get to show off is a the new KRAFTY stamp set from artist,

NEDA SADREDDIN!!

It's called.....LET'S GET KRAFTY!

To make the background for my card I used the new Stained Glass stencil with Charming Chartreuse, Raspberry Rose and the new WHIMSICAL WISTERIA inks from the Kraftin' Kimmie Hybrid Ink line. I added some texture paste with silver glitter to give her that extra sparkle she deserves! The Krafty Girl and all her toys were colored up with copic markers. A little extra ribbon and she is ready to go to a lucky Krafty friend!

Kraftin Kimmie Challenge #506 - Use Your Favorite Stamp Set!
